Infrastructure for a self-sovereign internet.

Solar Punk designs, builds and operates decentralized applications on Ethereum Swarm — so the businesses we work with own their data and their uptime, instead of renting both back from someone else.

01 / SERVICES

How we work with you

01 / 03
STAGE 01

Consultancy

We help you figure out whether decentralized storage actually solves a problem you have, before either of us builds anything.

STAGE 02

Custom Development

Once the case is proven, we design and build the solution — from proof of concept to a production-ready product.

STAGE 03

Service Operations

We can also run and maintain what we build, so keeping it decentralised doesn't become your team's second job.

AI & DeSci

Vision

To establish Swarm as the foundational infrastructure for decentralized AI, creating a robust, open economic ecosystem for autonomous agents to store data, communicate, discover each other and exchange value.

Benefits

  1. Give AI agents a home for their own data — memory, files and identity that isn't locked to one server.

  2. Let researchers and patients keep sensitive data under their own control, shared only with explicit, revocable consent.

  3. Open the door to agents that can find each other, prove their track record, and pay each other directly for work.

Strategy

Three pillars, each built on the one before it, with Swarm as the shared data layer underneath all of them:

  1. Access

The Swarm MCP turns storage, feeds and access control into ready-made agent tools, so any agent can use Swarm without special code, through its own node or a gateway.

  2. Discovery and reputation

Agents register in the ERC-8004 registries, with their profiles and reviews kept on Swarm, so anyone can find them, anyone can rebuild the index, and a track record moves with the agent. Agents share data with each other through Swarm itself.

  3. Economy

Marketplaces where agents sell and buy data, paying over x402 and receiving access the moment payment settles, with reviews limited to verified buyers so reputation is hard to fake.

Roadmap

  1. Access (Swarm MCP)
  2. Discovery and reputation (ERC-8004)
    • Agent discovery through the ERC-8004 Identity Registry: each agent's registration file sits on a Swarm feed, and every registration emits an on-chain event, so anyone can rebuild the agent index without a proprietary indexer.
    • Portable reputation: the ERC-8004 Reputation Registry anchors review references and hashes, with the reviews themselves on Swarm, so a profile survives an endpoint change.
  3. Economy (data-enriched AI marketplaces)
    • Seller and buyer agents with the Swarm Marketplace MCP: sellers register, publish and price catalogs and answer reviews; buyers discover marketplaces, query catalogs, buy and leave reviews, all as MCP tools. Data-enriched AI Marketplaces: From Prototype to the Future of Agentic Commerce →
    • Pay-for-data over x402, with the ACT grant issued to the buyer's node key on settlement; sales-tax splitters and the facilitator sit in this layer. Data-enriched AI Marketplaces: From Prototype to the Future of Agentic Commerce →
    • Marketplace operator agent: stands up a marketplace and sets its policy (sales-tax rate, review criteria, storage subsidy) without deciding who is trustworthy.
    • Proof-of-Purchase indexer: purchase proofs stored on Swarm limit reviews to genuinely paying clients, the Sybil filter ERC-8004 leaves to applications.

Streaming & Chat

Vision

Let anyone stream a live stage and its audience chat worldwide over Swarm, with a recording anyone can verify and no platform that can switch it off.

Benefits

  1. Keep live streams and their recordings out of any single platform's hands: every segment is stored on Swarm, and the recording exists the moment the talk ends.

  2. Let every viewer check what they watch: the stream's playlist is a signed feed only its owner can write, and any segment can be compared byte for byte through an independent Swarm node.

  3. Stay reachable when gateways fail or are blocked: viewers running their own Swarm node watch straight from the network.

Strategy

Build on MSRS, our previous streaming solution for partners, and remove one central dependency at a time, toward Swarmcast: fully decentralized streaming where streamers, viewers and operators need no one's permission.

  1. Swarm-native live delivery

A transcoder cuts the stage feed into four qualities, from 1080p down to 360p, and our open-source Bridge stores each segment on Swarm, with a standby pipeline ready to take over.

  2. Two roads to every viewer

Gateways near viewers serve the stream in any browser about 5 seconds behind the stage; a viewer's own Swarm node fetches it peer to peer, 10 to 30 seconds behind.

  3. Infrastructure anyone can rebuild

Machines are provisioned per event from public code, and a signed list of serving nodes lets anyone check the peers they see.

Roadmap

  1. Live streaming stack
    • MSRS: our previous streaming solution for partners, with live chat alongside every stream. It still leaned on central parts: an RTMP ingest server, relay servers announcing stream state, and a central stream directory. Live Streaming Without a Platform →
    • Performance testing: load-testing infrastructure that ramps streaming components up and down, with quality-of-experience measurement. Live Streaming Without a Platform →
    • New HLS streaming stack: redundant ingest pipelines, the Bridge to Swarm, stream state in Swarm feeds, edge gateways, a viewer hosted on Swarm and live chat. In QA ahead of its first public run. Live Streaming Without a Platform →
    • First public run: Ethereum Cypherpunk Congress #3, Mumbai, 2 November 2026, streamed as a partner of Web3Privacy Now. Live Streaming Without a Platform →
  2. Swarmcast (fully decentralized streaming)

Ease of Use

Vision

Build Swarm's capabilities as familiar, reusable widgets that any developer can drop into an app and AI assistants can assemble into custom interfaces, so people can own, share and work on their data together without learning how storage works underneath.

Benefits

  1. Give people familiar Files and Drives, sharing they can stop at any time, and real-time co-editing with no collaboration server, with their data kept on Swarm.

  2. Let developers embed a finished capability (files, sharing, funding) instead of rebuilding it, and show users the same interface wherever Swarm appears, so they trust what they recognise.

  3. Let AI assistants bring up the right widget when it's needed, because each widget describes itself in machine-readable terms.

Strategy

Turn decentralized storage into an everyday workspace, built from reusable widgets that any app can use.

  1. Reusable widgets

Every capability ships as a self-contained widget with a documented interface, so the same pieces work in our apps, partners' apps and AI conversations, and the developer community helps decide what to build next.

  2. File Manager

A redesigned File Manager widget with Swarm ID as its identity, covering first use, storage, search, websites and everyday file and folder actions.

  3. Private sharing

Sharing with people, Shared with me, Shared by me and stop sharing, built on Swarm's Access Control Trie, with the address book as its own widget other apps can reuse.

  4. Collaborative editing

Real-time editing peer to peer over Swarm, starting in the Remix IDE, with peers moving to find each other through Swarm itself.

Roadmap

  1. File Manager
  2. Collaborative editing
  3. Widgets & Research
    • Composable widgets: each capability becomes a self-contained widget with a shared design system and a documented interface, so our apps, partners' apps and AI assistants all build from the same pieces.
    • Widgets inside AI conversations: widgets packaged as MCP-Apps (and possibly A2UI) so AI assistants can show them and build interfaces around them, with some added to the Swarm MCP.
    • What should we build next? We are researching which components developers actually need. Tell us what is missing from your stack and it becomes a candidate for the catalog.

Built on Ethereum Swarm

This website is served from Ethereum Swarm, a decentralised storage and communication layer for the web3 stack. Content is split into chunks, addressed by its cryptographic hash and distributed across a network of independent nodes, so there is no central host, no single point of failure and no platform able to take it down. Storage is prepaid, and node operators are rewarded through the protocol’s own incentive system for keeping data available.

Swarm is an open-source protocol stewarded by the Swarm Foundation and its community. Solar Punk is an ecosystem delivery partner: we build open-source solutions and dApps on Swarm, and we host this website on it to run on the same infrastructure we build for.
